Fixing Systems for Glass Whiteboards
These are 4 ways PROWITE™ Glass Whiteboards can be wall mounted. Not all methods are available on all glass whiteboards.

Direct Fixed
This means the glass is glued directly to the wall surface without any extra brackets or hardware. The glass is supplied with double-sided adhesive tape only on the rear. An acrylic pen tray will not be supplied as these are not compatible with this system. The glass should be mounted using a suitable silicon or construction adhesive. The adhesive tape is only to hold the whiteboard in position while the silicon dries and must not be relied on as permanent mounting on its own. The wall surface must be smooth and clean so the self-adhesive tape sticks and the silicon bonds permanently. This system is not suited to clear glass whiteboards.
Edge-Mount Brackets
This is the default mounting system that is supplied with quite a few of our glass whiteboards, please check the particular item description to confirm. These are round metal brackets that are fitted along the top and bottom edges of the glass. They hold the glass approx. 9mm off the wall and clamp onto the edge to hold the whiteboard in place. The entire weight of the glass is supported by the brackets along the bottom edge so it is important these are mounted onto a solid surface and screwed into strong material such as timber or concrete using appropriate fixings. The standard screws supplied with these brackets may not suit every scenario. The brackets can be mounted anywhere along the edges including the sides if necessary and extra brackets can be purchased if required. Glass whiteboards up to 1200mm width are supplied with 4 brackets, 1500-1800mm with 6 brackets and 2100-2400mm with 8 brackets, when this is the default or selected mounting system.
Slotted Holes
This is the default mounting system for a few of our small glass whiteboards up to 600x900mm. Screws are supplied for the glass to hang on the 4 slotted holes on the rear. You can often press the slots hard against the wall to leave faint marks to show you where the screws should go, or rub some chalk, pencil or felt pen around the slots first. If the at least 2 screws are not fastened into wall timbers, we recommend using drywall anchors for strength.
Strip Mount
This is a complete glass mounting system ideal for larger panels or when mounting several panels side-by-side. The mounting strip is in 2 parts: a wall mount section that holds the glass and a cover to conceal the screws. The glass is held in tight when needed with a rubber window wedge. The aluminium mounting strip is 25mm high and comes in lengths of up to 2.9m. It is supplied cut to length to suit your glass size or configuration. Strips are usually used on the top and bottom edges of the glass only with end caps but it can be used as a 4-sided frame for glass if required. It is usually supplied powder-coated in white but there are options of black, silver or even your choice of colour available on request. The wall screws are fastened through on-site wherever the solid fixing points are found and are hidden when finished.
Concealed Hanging Rails
This system uses low-profile aluminium rails glued to the rear of the glass holding the glass approx. 5mm off the wall. There are usually 2 rails one near the top and one near the bottom and extending close to the ends of the glass. Corresponding brackets are supplied with screws for wall mounting. The brackets are mounted on the wall and the glass is slid down over the brackets. This is a very efficient mounting system for individual glass panels where concealed fixing is desired and it is suited to any size panel. It is the default mounting system that is now pre-fitted on many of our glass whiteboards, please check the particular item description to confirm. Due to the thin design of these rails, it is mostly possible to swap to edge-mount brackets later on, should the need arise.
